Lent Services

Wednesday, February 17 - March 24
This Lent again come prepared for the Wednesday afternoon services at 11:30am followed by a brown bag lunch or nights of a soup and sandwich dinner from 5:30-6:30pm followed by worship at 6:30 and special programming for all ages from 7:00-8:00.

Sign ups will be available for making soup, bringing sandwiches & desserts and helping with clean up for our Wednesday Lenten services. Please plan on helping during this season.

This year we will again have groups being responsible for a night and they will be able to decide where they would like to donate the offerings to.

Annual Easter Egg Hunt

Saturday, March 27 (Palm Sunday Weekend) 10:30 a.m. - noon
Walkers through 5th Grade. Bring a bag or basket for your candy, and invite a friend.
Volunteers Needed:

• 3rd - 5th grade scavenger hunt
• Egg hunt leader/helpers
• Craft
• Snacks
• Easter Bingo
• Photo Booth

We need candy donations! If you would like to donate, a basket will be available in the Narthex. Please bring individually wrapped candy and/or small toys to stuff eggs. Or cash donations are welcome and will be utilized to purchase these items.

Palm Sunday Breakfast

The Youth Mission Trip is hosting the annual Palm Sunday Breakfast. All funds support the Chicago Mission Trip!

First Communion Class

Sunday March 28 from 12:15-2:00
Our Redeemer will hold a First Communion Class on Sunday March 28 from 12:15-2:00. This is a class for any children and parents who would like to understand more about Holy Communion and have some preparation for this meal. While Communion has often been for those children of a certain age (around 3rd grade more recently) there is a growing move to have communion (a meal of God's deep grace) available to the baptized. So while we invite all 3rd graders to participate we also will welcome children at any age whose parents, or the child themselves, indicate an interest in taking communion. This class will help us understand the meaning, history, and significance of Holy Communion and prepare for a First Communion at the Maundy Thursday worship on April 1. Please call the office so we know how much food (we will chip in for pizzas and sandwiches) and material to order. If you have questions talk to Pastor Karsten.
